If you're brand new to pole dancing, we highly recommend our Signature 8-Week “Learn to Pole Dance” Series Program. This structured series is perfect for beginners who want solid foundations, proper technique, and steady progress.

If you’re not ready to commit to a full 8-week series, you can book:

  • A Private One-on-One Introductory Class, or

  • A Group Intro to Pole Class

Both are designed to introduce you to basic grips, spins, technique, and safety.

Pole Fitness Classes

  • No metal hand jewelry

  • Avoid lotion for 24 hours prior to class—lotion + pole = no grip

  • Wear form-fitted pole or yoga shorts and a tank top or sports bra

  • Skin contact is essential for gripping the pole; fabric will slide

Kasey’s studio bag recommendations:
Knee pads, leg warmers, socks

Important:
Under garments, lingerie, or attire that resembles underwear are not allowed.

Aerial Classes (Silks, Hoop, Hammock, Aerial Yoga)

  • No metal hand jewelry, necklaces, or dangling earrings

  • Wear clothing that covers the backs of your knees and your torso to prevent fabric or hoop burns

  • Leggings and fitted tops are ideal

Heels are not required for our Pole Fitness classes—especially if you’re brand new. Many beginners start barefoot to focus on building foundational strength, balance, and confidence before adding the extra weight and technique of wearing heels.

Once you progress and feel comfortable, you’re welcome to incorporate pole-specific heels into your training. They can enhance style, flow, and technique, but they do add challenge, so we recommend easing into them over time.

Important:

  • Street shoes are not permitted.

  • Only heels specifically designed for pole dancing (such as Pleasers or similar brands) are allowed.

  • Regular fashion heels are not allowed, as they are unsafe and not built for pole movement or floorwork.

Training should always feel empowering, safe, and aligned with your current level—heels are an option, not an expectation.

Everyone. Truly.
We welcome all sizes, ages, genders, and fitness backgrounds.

Male students are welcome, although certain specialty workshops may be women-only.
Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the liability waiver.

For the comfort and privacy of our students, no spectators are allowed.
If you’d like private access to the space, studio rentals are available.

Email Kasey@vpolestudio.com and she will personally guide you to the appropriate class based on your skill level and experience.

Not at all. No dance or aerial experience is necessary.

If you’re new to Pole, Silks, or Hoop, please begin with an Intro class. Your instructor will coach you through progressions and let you know when you’re ready for the next level.

Absolutely not.
Our community is beautifully diverse—young adults, mature students, all body types, all fitness levels.

The only thing you need is determination.
With consistency, you’ll be amazed at how strong and capable you become.

Not at all. No pull-up required!

Pole and Aerial Fitness build strength naturally over time in the:

  • Upper body

  • Core

  • Back

  • Glutes

Every student starts where they are. Even people with athletic backgrounds often feel awkward at first—it's part of the journey.

We have a restroom available for changing, there are no showers on site. We encourage you to arrive dressed and ready to train.

Generally - no, but it is possible. Class sizes range from 3-10, depending on the class style.

Class structure:

  • Aerial Classes: Max 2 students per fabric or hoop

  • Aerial Yoga: 1 student per hammock

  • Pole Classes: IPSF standards allow up to 3 per pole, but our studio typically keeps it to 1–2 per pole max.

Our Pole Danzer 45mm stainless steel poles are reinforced with an internal pole structure and are rated to safely hold up to 375 lbs
